The rundown
Some great Online & Digital Business podcasts to get to know
A good online-business episode can turn on one sentence about a supplier. "Electric bikes, absolutely not," says Jon Warren of The Dropship Podcast. He is sorting a list of product ideas an AI tool produced, and he gives his reasons: bad brands, bad suppliers, too much competition. That is these shows at their best: an operator lets you watch a decision get made. At their weakest, the same episode stops so the host can sell you a membership.
Two arguments run through the field. The first is about padding. A September 2026 request on r/podcasts asked for marketing, pricing and growth advice with little banter. That is one listener's wish, not a verdict. The second is about AI, and the useful question is which tasks a founder can hand off and who checks the result. The audience for podcasts in general is wide. Edison Research reported in March 2026 that 58% of Americans aged 12 and over consume podcasts monthly, though that figure covers all podcasts, not this niche.
Stores that ship things
The Dropship Podcast and Drop Ship Lifestyle Podcast both teach high-ticket dropshipping: selling expensive goods. In [R] Solve Problems. Make Money Dropshipping., The Dropship Podcast treats products as answers to problems. An air purifier buyer wants to be rid of mold, and even an exotic car meets a need for status.
Anton Kraly is more rueful. In The Truth About 19 Years in the Dropshipping Game he recalls selling his first stores in 2012. Within weeks the new owner, a sales guy, was earning more than Kraly ever had, by adding expedited-shipping upsells, extended warranties and bundles. Both shows sell coaching, and episodes of The Dropship Podcast pitch a membership discount and a $27 niche check. Hear the advice with that stake in mind.
Serious Sellers Podcast: Learn How To Sell On Amazon FBA & Walmart comes from Helium 10 and is hosted by Bradley Sutton. In #733 - Go-To-Market Strategy for Amazon Brands, a guest explaining shopper affinity scores also recommends Helium 10's own tools.
Amazon's AI shopping assistant, Rufus, also comes up on Empire Flippers Podcast. In Optimizing Your Amazon Listings for Rufus and AI Search, guest John says Amazon reported an 80% conversion lift over Black Friday 2025 for shoppers who used Rufus. That is his account of Amazon's numbers, so check it before rebuilding a listing around it.
Selling what you know
Course businesses turn expertise into products, and the best episodes name prices. In Episode 236 | How a Food Photographer Crushed Black Friday, with Sam Adler, on The Course Creator Show, Adler walks through a five-day sale. It runs from a $24 restaurant-photography guide to four mastermind sign-ups at 2,850 each. In Episode 231 | How to Unplug AND Stay Profitable (2 months off, $131K in), Gemma Bonham-Carter credits paid ads and an evergreen webinar for keeping sales coming through a summer when she barely posted. She adds the caveat that the setup takes work up front.
Incentives deserve attention. Introducing 242: 6-Figures In Course Sales with Just 300 Subscribers (Featuring Dean Booty), The Online Course Show discloses that its guest, who sells a self-storage course, belongs to the host's coaching program. The disclosure is good practice, and a reminder that success stories can double as advertising. On Live More, Earn More, Lucy Griffiths recalls a business coach pushing her to launch every six weeks: "I think it broke me." Listeners drawn to women-led business shows can cross to the Women in Business page.
The handoff to AI
The AI argument gets a clear test in 278: Meet the AI Operator That Runs My Business, from The Online Course Show. The host's agent, Rocky, drafts support replies from his course material but cannot send email. A support person is "the last like human intervention before we hit send." Kraly's How I Actually Use AI to Run My Dropshipping Businesses, on Drop Ship Lifestyle Podcast, focuses on context. He builds one file holding a store's target market, average order value and brand colours, so the assistant stays on brand.
Traffic, and the sites themselves
Publishers who depend on search traffic have had a rough stretch. In How Forrest Baumhover Recovered $10K Worth of Monthly Traffic to His Site, on Niche Pursuits Podcast: Find Your Next "Niche" Business Idea!, Baumhover is asked about Google's helpful content update. He also explains how 50 or 75 existing articles became the basis for his first YouTube videos. In From Panic to Profit: Turning Google Changes into Blogging Opportunities, on The Blogger Genius Podcast, a speaker describes pages that ranked in the top three positions moving down.
Empire Flippers Podcast, whose publisher runs a marketplace for buying and selling online businesses, adds the buyer's side. Real World Lessons in Acquisitions and Deal Making features Paul LeJoy, introduced as having bought over 25 businesses. He argues that deal terms can matter more than the headline price, and the conversation is openly sceptical of zero-money-down promises. Treat it as one buyer's experience of risky transactions, not a template.
Coaching in public
AskPat 2.0: A Weekly Coaching Call on Online Business, Blogging, Marketing, and Lifestyle Design records Pat Flynn coaching an entrepreneur. In Which Niche Business Should I Focus On?, from 2018, he tells Cherie that what she teaches should match what her site actually earns. Promising $10,000 a month from a site making $100 is a disconnect.
