About Next Economy
Next Economy is daily economic radio with a market clock running in the background. It begins from what is moving now: European indexes, Wall Street expectations, inflation data, oil prices, energy routes, government measures, and the latest geopolitical shock. The show keeps returning to a simple practical question. What does this mean for consumers, firms, savers, and Italy? Its scope is broad, but the program is not loose. A discussion of the Strait of Hormuz can become a question about energy resilience, fuel pricing, Europe’s policy gaps, and the real cost passed down to distributors and drivers. A report on travel limits or regional instability can become a consumer-rights segment about refundable stays, flights, package holidays, and the risk of losing money after events change. Fraud receives the same treatment. Instead of treating scams as isolated warnings, the show looks at persuasion, emotional triggers, old email tricks, recovery-room schemes, and the way crypto can make losses harder to understand. Manuela Donghi gives the program its through-line, setting out the stakes before bringing in voices such as Guidetti, Alessandro, Tarquini, Giacomo, and Davide Schioppa. The result is interview-centric but not guest-dependent. The framing does much of the work. Next Economy is especially attentive to uncertainty: negotiations may shift, markets may be optimistic for the wrong reason, fuel prices may reflect both speculation claims and futures expectations, and emergency bonuses may fail to solve structural weakness. That caution gives the show its value. It does not promise control over volatile events. It offers a way to read them, one layer at a time, with enough connection to daily life that financial news never feels sealed off from groceries, flights, bills, exports, or small-business choices.
Made for: For Italian-speaking listeners who follow markets but want the consequences translated into travel, bills, fuel, savings, and business pressure. It suits people who prefer cautious analysis over quick certainty.
What sets it apart: Next Economy connects live market tracking with consumer-facing economic fallout in the same conversation. Its edge is the constant movement between indexes, geopolitics, expert interviews, and practical next steps.

Next Economy di Venerdì 10 Aprile 2026
Next Economy on April 10, 2026 closes the week with European markets cautiously positive as US-Iran peace talks are set to begin over the weekend, but Iran's offer of only 15 ships per day through Hormuz with a toll draws Trump's condemnation as 'terrible management.' Silvia Merler, research director at Algebris Investments, analyses a Bruegel think tank paper finding that a formal Hormuz toll would primarily hurt Gulf producers rather than European importers — but only if shipping volumes recover, which they have not.
