About Rdella Training : The Strength & Performance Podcast

Rdella Training is a strength-and-performance podcast for people who want training advice that sounds like it came from a coach watching real movement, not a poster of ideal outcomes. Scott Ardella spends time on small details because the show treats those details as the work. A kettlebell swing is not just a swing here. It becomes hip power, backswing timing, forceful exhalation, and the value of recording sets to see what the body is actually doing. The same practical lens carries into injury episodes. Minor pain is handled with caution, not drama, with repeated reminders that persistent or serious issues belong with a healthcare provider. From there, the show talks about finding non-provocative movement, using walking for some back pain situations, considering rotator cuff and scapular strengthening for shoulder problems, and using eccentric work in some elbow tendinopathy situations. The show also makes room for life around training. In the episode on balance, strength work is placed beside family, coaching, youth sports, projects, and shifting priorities. The answer is not perfect balance. It is counterbalance, reassessment, and deciding what gets attention now. Interviews broaden the frame without losing the performance focus. Matt Wan explains Momentous Nutrition and recovery products in the context of strength work, endurance sessions, and high-output athletes. Dr. Robert Pastore appears in a protein-focused discussion about plant-based and whey-based options. Pat Flynn brings generalism, minimalism, books, and learning into the fitness conversation. John Engel is discussed through flexible strength and the Flexible Steel Training Program. Andrea Duquesne appears as a coach tied to the workshop that changed Scott Ardella's direction with kettlebells. The show is plainspoken and methodical. It suits serious recreational lifters, coaches, athletes, and older trainees who care about power, movement quality, recovery, and long-term consistency. It is not trying to make strength mystical. It is trying to make it repeatable.

Made for: For serious fitness enthusiasts, athletes, coaches, and committed recreational lifters who want technical training guidance without theatrics. It especially suits listeners interested in kettlebells, pain-aware performance, recovery, and sustainable strength habits.

What sets it apart: The show connects gym technique, injury caution, nutrition, and life priorities in the same practical coaching register. Its strongest episodes turn ordinary training problems into concrete cues and decisions a lifter can test immediately.
