Fast talk for serious eaters.
The gist
Küchen-Funk follows food people through whatever has been on the stove, on the road, or on the trade-show floor. The conversation moves quickly from pressure cookers and poultry to London burgers, German legumes, restaurant formats, and the little details that make something taste worthwhile.

About Küchen-Funk
Küchen-Funk is a food show with the energy of people talking while the next course is already arriving. It is brisk. The episodes move from cooking tools to restaurant trips, from ingredient sourcing to trade-fair gossip, and from family recipes to the practical question of whether something actually tastes good. The conversation rarely stays in one lane for long. A solo episode can start with scheduling around Internorga and end up in a detailed defense of the pressure cooker, complete with potatoes, mustard, cream, valves, spare parts, and the old fear of the lid going wrong. Travel episodes carry the same appetite. Intergastra, Hamburg, Berlin, Munich, London, Rotterdam, Cologne, Frankfurt, and Stuttgart appear as working food routes rather than glossy destinations. There are burgers, dumplings, bakeries, sauces, small plates, beef, grills, prepared products, and the exhaustion of trying to record every bite. The show likes names and proof points. DeinGeflügel, Kikok, Otto Gourmet, Sironi Bakery, UFOP, and restaurant formats surface as part of ordinary discussion, not as polished advertorial copy. Interview episodes give the format more structure without sanding off the chat. Jannik Eckardt von DeinGeflügel brings poultry, friendship, support, and a remembered chicken curry from his grandmother’s table into the same hour. Anja von WPR Communication turns legumes into a grounded conversation about German agriculture, soil, insects, climate pressure, soybeans, peas, beans, and lupines. Christian von Küchenjunge.com and Martin von Real Food Stories, when both are present, bounce through impressions quickly, correcting, teasing, and adding another place or product before the previous thought has fully cooled. It feels informed without becoming formal. It is also very much for people who enjoy the trade side of food: fairs, suppliers, central kitchens, product development, restaurant concepts, and the odd detail that sticks after a long tasting day. The best moments are concrete. Someone remembers Ananas and canned peach on curry, or gets excited about a sauce, or wonders why a franchise might work. Küchen-Funk is not neat food journalism. It is warmer, messier, and closer to the way cooks and obsessive eaters actually compare notes after service, travel, shopping, and too many small dishes.
Made for: For German-speaking food obsessives who enjoy cooking talk, restaurant scouting, trade fairs, product names, and practical kitchen opinions. It especially suits listeners who like food culture from the working side, not just the plated result.
What sets it apart: Küchen-Funk stands out by mixing home-kitchen detail with food-industry travel and supplier conversations in the same loose rhythm. It is as interested in valves, sauces, legumes, and poultry sourcing as it is in burgers and restaurant buzz.
In their own words
Zwei Köche reden übers Essen, kochen und all die anderen Dinge, die Menschen umtreiben, die sich jeden Tag mit Lebensmitteln, deren Zubereitung wie auch ihrem Verzehr, beschäftigen.
Why you'd press play
