Cacharreogeek

Cacharreogeek is a Spanish technology show built from purchases, live conversations, side comments, bargains, and the everyday mess of trying new hardware. It rarely sounds sealed or staged. A topic might begin with a tired greeting, a reminder about a YouTube live, a note from another podcaster, or a quick apology for audio, then turn into a long practical run through a keyboard, a retro console, a phone, a printer, or an iMac bought at the right moment for 200 euros. The show’s pleasure is in the chase. It cares about the deal, the shipping, the scratch on the screen, the Spanish keyboard layout, the update policy, the child who wants to play Mario, and the friend who found a better link. That makes its tech coverage unusually social. Devices are not abstract products here; they are things sitting on desks, plugged into monitors, passed through secondhand buying logic, tested by families, argued over in chats, and posted back to cacharreogeek.com so others can compare notes. Live episodes add another layer, with Iñaki, Poli, familiar guests, chat greetings, technical tests, and a rhythm that accepts interruptions as part of the texture. Guest conversations stretch into AI-generated voices, cybersecurity, mobile-review independence, 3D-printer frustration, creator routines, and the changing economics of gadget media. The tone can be teasing and blunt, but the useful part is steady. Cacharreogeek keeps asking what actually works, what costs too much, what has a hidden flaw, and what is simply fun enough to justify the purchase. It is especially good when a personal purchase becomes a small buying guide, because the excitement and the caveats arrive together. The show also understands tech culture as a network of podcasts, Telegram groups, YouTube channels, articles, comments, and friends who keep sending links. It is not sleek. That is the point. It feels like being near the workbench while everyone talks at once and someone is already opening another box.
