About Wichmaskinen
Wichmaskinen is comedy shop talk with the door left open. It follows stand-ups while jokes are still soft, strange, overlong, or newly discovered. The host asks direct craft questions, but the answers rarely arrive in neat little packages. That is the charm. A conversation can start with test shows at Comedy Zoo's underground and end up inside a story about fear, parenting, romance, betting ads, or a sailing injury that might contain a joke if handled correctly. The show understands that stand-up is not only writing. It is rooms, timing, confidence, tour posters, warm-ups, open mics, bad edits, notebooks, titles, old bits, and the slightly haunted brain that keeps reviewing a set after everyone else has gone home. Guests talk through the mechanics of performing, but they also reveal the life around the mechanics. Sofie Skriver moves from TV work and social media to a comic comparison between new love and a puppy. Troels Messmann turns a hand injury into a question of what kind of material should survive the obvious first joke. Nikolaj Stokholm talks about not getting swept up in show highs and about merchandise that fits his own stage identity. Gritt Jakobsen brings stories, podcast production relief, and the pain of a bit dying in front of classmates. Niels Forsberg traces early work, manuscript writing, and the practical chaos of helping shape another performer's show. Mia Vestergaard and Markus Kjøks talk from the Aarhus comedy world into trimming sets, testing new minutes, and the grind of earning stage time. Torben Kris brings anger, satire, grief, titles, and everyday irritation into the same conversation. Across episodes, Wichmaskinen keeps a brisk, affectionate rhythm. It can be silly. It can be blunt. It is rarely abstract for long. The real subject is how comedians notice something, fight with it, drag it through rooms, and slowly find out whether it lives.
Made for: For listeners who like comedians talking honestly about craft, stage time, tour life, and half-formed bits. It especially fits stand-up fans who enjoy process-heavy conversations.
What sets it apart: Wichmaskinen spends time inside the unfinished part of comedy instead of presenting only polished routines or promotional interviews. The looseness is the point: digressions, practical notes, and backstage stories become part of the joke-making process.
In their own words

Oplev landets dygtigste komikere tage deres første spæde skridt henimod veludviklede stand-up bits, når de er på besøg i Wichmaskinen.
