The Ben and Skin Show

The Ben and Skin Show is a Dallas-Fort Worth radio show that treats sports, local life, weird news, and personal humiliation as equal fuel. It can open with Cowboys draft anxiety and still make room for a Dallas Cowboy becoming a sandwich critic. It can promise Record Store Day, Tom Cruise, snake attacks, dog stupidity, and a local sports controversy before the hour even settles down. The pace is brisk. The desk talks like people who have spent years interrupting each other for sport and for timing. Ben Rogers, Jeff Skin Wade, Kevin KT Teardown Turner, and Christina K. Ray are named at the center of the show. Christina's Cookie Jar turns everyday questions into group comedy, like what someone should do after waking up in the middle of the night. The Love Shack gives the show a lane for relationship and gender-etiquette arguments, including the kind of phrase that makes everyone at the table wince, joke, and then actually explain why it lands badly. Sports is still everywhere. The show tracks Cowboys rumors, NBA play-in tension, Steph Curry joy, and local controversies with enough fluency to satisfy a fan who came for the game. Then it veers. A plate of food left on someone's chest becomes a marriage low point. A big round spoon becomes a food shovel. Air traffic controller audio becomes a guessing game. RFK Jr. stories become a riff on politics, celebrity, and bizarre personal lore. The show is also unmistakably local, with DFW events, Frisco references, Rollertown mentions, concert tickets, and weekend plans woven into the regular conversation. Its best clips are the ones where the topic is clear but the destination is not. The humor can be blunt, adult, and occasionally crude, but the dominant feeling is familiar rather than mean. It is for listeners who like sports talk with messy human texture. It is also for people who enjoy radio that sounds lived-in, regional, and comfortable with a detour.
