Tee Time - der Golf Podcast

Tee Time is a German golf show built around momentum, familiarity, and the pleasure of letting golf talk wander somewhere useful. It can begin with tournament anticipation and end at a coffee machine. The recurring names Jens Zielinski, Florian Fritsch, and Bernd Ritthammer give the show a panel feel, with quick interruptions, small digs, and enough playing experience in the room to keep the jokes attached to real golf. The episodes in this run move through BMW International Open preparation, Masters week, LP Putter, unusual golf challenges, and the broader culture around the sport. There is real event coverage here. Eichenried, the BMW International Open, free-entry pro-am excitement, Philipp Kohlschreiber, Gareth Bale, and DP World Tour proximity all become part of the texture. There is also a strong backstage instinct. The show is interested in who asks to play with whom, how a tournament day feels on the ground, and why a famous footballer’s love of golf can make the sport seem cooler to a school class. Its Masters coverage works the same way. Ingo Grünpeter from Golfmagazin helps turn Augusta into something tactile: branded cups, quiet sponsor absence, media-room scale, unanswered crowd-size questions, and the mythology around the Pimento Cheese Sandwich. Gear talk gets the same treatment. The LP Putter episode spends time with custom colors, fittings, hometown pride, showrooms, pink shafts, special grips, and the long wait for a complicated build. Then the show can suddenly veer into a 500-ball challenge pitch, a video submission from Pforzheim, wooden putters, golf in odd places, or a joke about overthinking a punchline. That looseness is part of the appeal. Tee Time does not flatten golf into results and rankings. It treats the game as a social world full of equipment obsession, tournament rituals, regional pride, private jokes, and people who cannot help talking too long about a green, a shaft, a sandwich, or a pro-am draw. The tone is warm, brisk, and occasionally cheeky, but the sport stays at the center. For German-speaking golf fans, it feels less like a bulletin and more like being pulled into the conversation already happening beside the practice green.
