SEN WA Breakfast

SEN WA Breakfast is a rapid WA sports morning show with the doors left open. Footy leads the room, but racing, harness racing, listener prizes, caller theories, live texts, and station business keep barging in. That is part of the shape. The show rarely eases into a topic cleanly. It starts with a joke, a weather note, a sponsor tag, a half-finished story about being hacked, or a listener complaint, then suddenly there is a serious derby question on the table. Eagles and Dockers coverage is the spine. Recent episodes work through West Coast’s young group, Fremantle’s backline, derby experience, rebuild comparisons, selection news, and the awkward little matchups that make local footy talk feel alive. Guests such as Josh Lindsay and Brennan Cox bring the club perspective without turning the show formal. The questions stay practical: who plays where, who handles the pressure, who has improved, and what happens when the ball hits the ground. Racing gets similar treatment. Daniel Cripps brings Cripps Tips for the Quokka meeting, while Jemma Hayman, Matt Young, and Greg Bond help turn Nullarbor night at Gloucester Park into a proper local event rather than a quick results read. The language is everyday and specific. It is comfortable talking about barriers, soft runs, heavy lifting, form, work rate, and whether someone can cop the workload. The show also knows when to pull up. When the discussion turns to Elijah Holland and welfare concerns, the tone becomes more careful and less throwaway. That does not last forever. Soon enough, it is back to giveaways, calls from Bunbury or Kangaroo Island, derby margins, Revo memberships, and someone being corrected over a word. SEN WA Breakfast suits listeners who want the sporting whiteboard, the pub argument, and the local radio texture together. It is not tidy, and it is better for that.
