About momkind podcast

momkind podcast is an interview-led motherhood show with a kitchen-table pulse. It talks about parenting through bodies, jobs, relationships, fear, shame, and recovery. The mood can turn quickly. A joke about exhaustion may sit beside a story about discrimination, breastfeeding pain, or the loneliness of feeling like the only one failing. Josefine Stork’s conversations tend to begin close to lived experience, then widen into practical questions. Recent episodes have covered parental leave and job seeking, including the anxiety women describe when family needs enter a hiring process. The show also spends serious time with worry thoughts in motherhood. Those worries are treated as common and protective, but also as something that can grow too large when nobody names them. Judgment is another recurring pressure point. The “mother police” appears in comment sections, playgrounds, inboxes, mother groups, and remarks that make mothers second-guess their choices. Physical motherhood is not softened into vague wellness language. Breastfeeding is discussed through panic, wounds, pumping, latch technique, doubt, and the fear that one wrong move will close a window forever. Postpartum sex is handled with equal bluntness. The show acknowledges changed bodies, absent desire, hormonal shifts, grief for a former sexual self, and the need for patience and safety between partners. Birth stories also get reexamined, especially caesarean births that some people wrongly treat as less real. The episodes push back against that dismissal while still making space for pain, recovery, scar care, and lost expectations. Sleep deprivation brings the domestic drama down to tiny gestures. A sigh, an eye roll, or a comment about being tired can stretch across a whole day when both parents are empty. The show’s strength is its refusal to make mothers sound tidier than they are. It offers recognition, a little laughter, and enough practical framing to make difficult feelings less private.

Made for: For mothers, pregnant people, and parents who want candid conversations about the emotional and physical reality of family life. It also suits partners and supporters trying to understand what pressure, recovery, and judgment can feel like from the inside.

What sets it apart: momkind podcast stands out by pairing raw personal accounts with practical follow-up questions, so difficult topics feel both witnessed and usable. It is less advice-first than recognition-first, with room for laughter, frustration, tenderness, and bodily detail.

In their own words

Someone calls your caesarean 'not a real birth'; this is where the handbag comes out.

Press play if you want

  • to hear a caesarean defended as a birth without brushing off the pain of getting up to breastfeed
  • space to admit that sex after a baby may need patience rather than a check-up deadline
