Real-life dog training, tested on walks.
The gist

About Life With Your Dog
Life With Your Dog is a long-running dog-training show with a strong emphasis on application. It is less interested in polished theory than in what happens when a dog meets the street, the park, the neighbor, the beach promenade, another dog, or a flock of sheep. Panos works from everyday owner problems, especially walks that have become stressful, reactive, or too chaotic to enjoy. The central idea is clear: training should become part of the dog's lifestyle, not a separate block of obedience squeezed around real life. That gives the show a practical rhythm. One episode may focus on giving a dog a job during a walk. Another may move into proofing, reliable behavior, and the difference between collecting information and building wisdom through repetition. Guests widen the frame without pulling it away from dogs. Buddy Spohn talks through scent work and why it depends on timing, teaching, coaching, and trust rather than force. Paul Zubcic brings a tracking perspective shaped by police dog work and Summerland Dog Training. Jazz Whiting discusses raising working-line puppies for specific roles. Dr. Will Maginness connects dog health, food, and behavior in a way that stays useful for owners who are trying to make better choices without becoming overwhelmed. Dan from Hooked on Hounds brings perspective on handling intensity, movement, thresholds, and real-time decision-making. The show has a conversational Australian trainer register: relaxed, blunt, and willing to chase a tangent when the tangent teaches something. It also keeps returning to ownership. The goal is not a robotic dog. The goal is a dog with enough clarity, structure, and practiced behavior to earn more access to the world. Owners who like step-by-step scripts may find it looser than a formal course. Owners who want to understand how trainers think through live situations will find plenty to work with.
Made for: For dog owners, trainers, and working-dog enthusiasts who want practical conversations about behavior, health, and handling. It especially suits people dealing with reactivity, high-energy dogs, or training that falls apart outside the house.
What sets it apart: The show connects training concepts to ordinary routines, especially the walk, then stress-tests them against real distractions and working-dog examples. Its strength is the mix of blunt field experience, guest specialists, and repeated attention to how owners actually execute the work.
In their own words
Life With Your Dog is focused on dog training concepts and ideas that can be applied in a practical way, to enrich the life you live with your dog. Educating dog owners, trainers and enthusiasts about these ideas so that we can train, manage, live and thrive with our dogs. Making connections between dog training concepts and the way we operate our own lives. We aim to unpack dog behaviour and training applications so that each episode has a topic to be covered.
