La Mano Peluda

La Mano Peluda works like a nightly record of fear passed from one person to another. It is not slick investigation first. It is testimony first. Callers describe what they saw, heard, suspected, or still cannot fit into ordinary life, and the program gives those accounts enough space to wander. That wandering matters, because many of the stories arrive like memories rather than reports. A person remembers footsteps in a room. Someone else remembers a road at three in the morning. Another account turns on an old house, a family warning, a rumor of money, and the feeling that the dead have not fully left. The named voices, Georgina Avilés and Ignacio Muñoz, appear in the program framing and closings as steady presences around the callers. Their role is usually compact: react, clarify, validate, and move the night forward. The show’s recent material leans heavily into haunted interiors, dark highways, apparitions, demons, spiritual weakness, and the uneasy belief that objects, rooms, or bodies can hold something after a life has passed. It can be solemn. It can also be oddly conversational, with family phrases and local details softening the terror. A grandmother’s line about fearing the living more than the dead sits beside a child’s memory of a skull. A trucker’s light on La Rumorosa becomes a humanoid shape. A road figure becomes more frightening when its feet are not human. The show is strongest when it lets uncertainty stay alive, refusing to turn every story into proof or dismissal. Long stretches can be interrupted by ads, disclaimers, and broadcast furniture, but the core remains clear: ordinary people bringing extraordinary memories to a room that believes they are worth hearing.
