Fish Go Deep Podcast

Fish Go Deep Podcast is a house music feed with the shape of a working radio show and the pace of a set. Episodes often open with Shane Johnson and Greg Dowling named at the top, followed by a short greeting and a quick note for radio supporters. The business is handled fast. Then the first track arrives. The format is simple, but the selections give it depth: mainly new releases, a few favourites, occasional exclusives, and material from the Go Deep catalogue. Recent shows have pointed listeners toward Ben Hickson's Vision EP on NDATL, a Johannesburg label, Christoph Salen, Sixth Borough Project, and Go Deep tracks such as Hidden Path. The references are specific without becoming lecture-like. A track title, a label, an EP, and the show moves on. That economy suits the music. Fish Go Deep Podcast is not built around interviews, personality bits, or long explanations. It is built around trust. The named voices know where a record sits, whether it is brand new, new-ish, rediscovered, or pulled from a few years back while sorting music for gigs. Some episodes add a stronger room feel, including a second hour taken from a live set recorded at the Liquid Lounge in Cork City. Others highlight forthcoming Go Deep releases, dub mixes, monthly supporter mixes, and higher-quality show downloads. The result feels connected to a real music practice rather than a playlist assembled at a distance. It carries the habits of studio work, club preparation, radio continuity, and label culture. The tone is friendly and direct, with just enough framing to place the records before the set starts moving. For listeners who want deep, current, carefully chosen house music without heavy commentary, it is a reliable lane. For crate-minded fans, it also offers names and labels worth chasing after the episode ends. Fish Go Deep Podcast stands out because it treats discovery as part of the set, not as a separate segment. The show points toward new music, folds in older favourites, and keeps the momentum steady for the full two hours.
