About Be Still and Go
Be Still and Go is a Christian devotional series built around reflection rather than performance. Its episodes tend to hold one text, one image, or one remembered encounter long enough for it to ask a harder question. The pace is measured. The concerns are not small. A reading from Matthew can become a meditation on waiting, courage, and the strange discipline of Advent. A passage from John can focus attention on Jesus' death and the terrible weight of the words, "It is finished." Isaiah becomes a way to separate lament from regret. Emily Dickinson becomes a centering frame for resisting hatred when public life feels saturated with violence. The show often places scripture beside lived experience, including road trips, childhood anticipation, church community, parental pride, and conversations about gender creativity. Those ordinary scenes are not decorative. They give the theology a floor to stand on. The series is especially attentive to faith as formation: the enlargement of the heart, the courage to grow, and the refusal to accept rigid social scripts as final. It can be tender. It can also be direct about mass shootings, threats, vandalism, and the fatigue carried by people who long for peace. The language stays pastoral, but the moral horizon is broad. Be Still and Go does not treat devotion as escape from the world. It treats stillness as a way to see the world more honestly. Listeners looking for doctrinal debate may find it more meditative than argumentative. Listeners drawn to scripture, inclusive Christian reflection, and justice-minded prayer will find a steady companion. Its strongest moments come when a familiar biblical season or passage opens into a present-tense question about love, fear, identity, or endurance.
Made for: For listeners who want Christian devotionals that connect scripture with public life, identity, grief, and hope. It especially suits people drawn to inclusive, reflective faith rather than loud certainty.
What sets it apart: The show pairs devotional structure with concrete social and personal stakes, moving easily from Gospel readings to violence, gender creativity, Advent waiting, and inward growth. Its calm format carries a sharper moral edge than many daily meditations.
In their own words
Be Still and Go is a digital devotional that invites you to reflect on a text or a theme so that you can be refilled and refueled for the work of love and justice that you are called to do. And this work is not a sprint. Take a moment and do your stretches because we’re in this for the whole marathon.
