On Colts Blue Zone Podcast the general manager is quoted saying the team still needs a real edge pass rusher because its draft record has not been enough. On The Tony D Podcast the host says Ballard should be fired by Monday and suggests fans storm Lucas Oil, then withdraws it in the same breath. Around that register of front-office accountability, cap arithmetic and draft boards sit a Speedway beat, sports-radio rooms that drift to the Pacers, the Fever, IU and Purdue, and a smaller set of shows about the city's business, musicians and housing.

What Indianapolis is

Indianapolis is the capital and largest city of Indiana, a Midwestern city of around 900,000 laid out around Monument Circle, hence the nickname Circle City. It is home to the NFL's Colts, the NBA's Pacers and the WNBA's Fever, and to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, whose Indianapolis 500 each May is the event the city is best known for.

The Colts, from the draft board to the cap sheet

The Colts shows divide by which end of the personnel problem they work. Locked On Colts - Daily Podcast On The Indianapolis Colts is the prospect desk: Zach Hicks makes the case for Clemson tackle Blake Miller as an unusually clean prospect with a high floor and high ceiling, and argues Anthony Hill Jr. checks every historical Colts linebacker box. The run of titles is nearly all draft mechanics.

Colts Blue Zone Podcast works the money end: Alec Pierce led the league in yards per catch for a second straight year and, the hosts argue, has to be kept, and cap space is treated as a suggestion rather than a limit. It is measured and analytical, layering explanation and caveat until the point is built, which sets it apart from Colts Corner With Kevin Bowen, where two people think out loud at speed and push back on each other. Bowen's clips are the more pointed, the Daniel Jones transition tag framed as a "$6 million risk" at about "2%" of the cap.

Colts Cover 2 Podcast, from the IndyStar, is represented by Hall of Fame voting mechanics rather than personnel talk, including why everyone below the top three candidates needs 80 percent of 50 voters. Bring The Juice is the reaction show, and its clips catch the low points, with Cody explaining why Colts fans are no longer even angry.

The Speedway beat

Trackside Podcast and The Tony D Podcast cover IndyCar as a season rather than a single race. The city off the field

A smaller set of shows is about Indianapolis without a scoreboard. Tony Katz + The Morning News is political talk, fast, irreverent and already mid-argument; its Indiana content here is a case for judging data centers one at a time rather than under a statewide moratorium, and the rest is national. The IBJ Podcast with Mason King is the opposite temperature, a measured interview series that puts context before opinion: Pete Dunn arguing that the president is openly manipulating equity and energy markets, and Mitch Daniels saying there is no reason to send Elon Musk or Jeff Bezos a Social Security check.
