Murder at the Warehouse | Ep. 16 – Junior and The Source

·1 hr 16 min·5 clips
For well over a year, the investigation has been turning over every stone it can. Witnesses have been tracked down one by one. Jake has remained cautious about what this might all mean for him. I've been thinking a lot about what you said and everything that's been going on. I don't know. I can't get excited about this. Everybody's wondering, like, how come you're not excited? I can't. I've been, I don't know, I just jaded. I don't know. If you don't get your heads up, they can't be crushed. And you know what? You don't need to be excited. I can be excited for you. Wow, right on. Thank you for saying that. Regardless of what any witness may have said, or what any of this may mean for him personally, though, Jake has been excited to hear every new update we have and to find out about every step closer we've gotten to finding out what happened to Renee. He's glad it's finally, the truth is starting to come out. It's a relief. Yeah. Huge weight off my chest. I'm more worried about Renee than anybody else. Like, her getting real justice, her mom deserves it very much as well, you know. I do think, in the course of our investigation, we've been able to untangle the messy story of how Jake Silva and Ty Lopes got convicted and how bad evidence put two innocent men behind bars for life. But the question of what happened to Renee remains unanswered.

As heard by us

A careful episode that follows the effort to clear Jake Silva and Ty Lopes while leaving Renee's fate unresolved.

The episode stays on the long effort to sort out how Jake Silva and Ty Lopes were convicted, while keeping the harder question of what happened to Renee open.
