Inside Ford’s pocket was a Ziploc baggie holding the severed breast of his last victim.

1. Our True Crime Podcast covers Wayne Adam Ford, the Humboldt County serial killer case centered on his 1998 confession. 2. Jen and Cam host the episode, and Edward October opens with his warning that the crimes on the show still scared him after years of horror narration. 3. The episode asks why Ford confessed at the Humboldt County Sheriff's Department and how investigators later tied him to multiple women across California and Nevada. 4. Ford’s brother Rodney drove six hours after Wayne called him in trouble and said he had hurt people and done “bad things.” 5. In November 1998, Wayne Adam Ford sobbed in the sheriff’s station and told the officer he needed to confess to murder. 6. The officer found a Ziploc baggie in Ford’s pocket, and the hosts say it held a severed breast from Ford’s last victim. 7. The hosts use Arcata, Eureka, the Pacific Ocean, and the Carson Mansion to show how ordinary Humboldt County looked before the case broke open. 8. A torso found in a freshwater slough in October 1997 was first listed as Jane Doe, and later autopsied as a white woman age 18 to 25 who had given birth to at least one child. 9. Detectives also recovered a severed left arm in January 1998, and DNA confirmed it belonged to the same Jane Doe. 10. A second body, Tina Renee Gibbs, was found near Clam Beach in June 1998, and investigators identified her after chemical treatment allowed fingerprints to be recovered. 11. Tina’s background included childhood moves from North Carolina to Georgia, Washington State, and Oregon before she later lived in Las Vegas, where police last had contact with her on May 6, 1998. 12. Lynette Dionne White was found in September 1998 near Lodi, and police identified her from prints after finding a blood-smeared Flying J truck-stop bag near the body. 13. Patricia Ann Tamez was discovered in an aqueduct in San Bernardino in October 1998 with ligature marks, a broken back, and a removed left breast. 14. Ford told police he had driven around for days with a victim’s body in his truck and once brought that truck to breakfast with Rodney in Vallejo. 15. He also said the women died during rough sex, that he tried to revive them, and that his anger and hatred for women had to go somewhere. 16. The episode reviews Ford’s early life, including a turbulent home, Marine Corps service, a 1980 car crash with a head injury, and later diagnoses of borderline personality disorder. 17. The hosts shift into a more reflective tone when they describe Kelly, Elizabeth, and other women who described Ford as obsessive, controlling, and violent. 18. The format mixes chronology, forensic detail, and host reaction, with repeated side comments about the brutality of the evidence and the long legal process. 19. Listeners interested in forensic genealogy, serial-killer confessions, and California cold cases will get the most from this episode. 20. Listeners looking for a short, light true-crime recap should probably skip it.
