#83: Helping Teams Find the Aha Moment, Moving from Tasks to Vision, & BK, with Dr. Bushra Khan

·47 min
Bushra begins with energy. Asked about her superpower, she names relentless energy, ambition, and joy, the same current she says she has carried since childhood. What once came across as being too loud now reads as stamina: she can take on a lot and keep going. The host then moves her from self-description into a real workplace example. He asks what she sees when teams struggle, and how she works through it with them. Bushra starts by asking leaders what they want, what they have already tried, what has failed, and what they would change with a magic wand. The first answer is usually not the full answer. A team may say it needs better presentation skills, stronger slide decks, or speakers who sound louder in meetings. Bushra does not stop there. She asks for proof: which presentations worked, which ones fell flat, and what actually happened in the room. That is where the diagnosis shifts. The issue may not be nerves or volume at all. It may be that the story has no shape for higher management. People walk through events from beginning to end when they need to frame the point so a decision can happen. The tone stays warm and practical, with the host giving Bushra room to explain how coaching helps people handle those conversations. She also widens the lens a bit. The win is not only better meetings, but people using those conversations beyond work.

A practical listen on turning vague team problems into clearer stories, decisions, and action.

Flywheel Leadership makes leadership coaching feel concrete. Dr. Bushra Khan shows how surface complaints can be separated from the real issue by asking open-ended questions, collecting specific examples, and working backward from the symptom.
