The Third Threat season two trailer opens with a narrator crediting writer-director-producer Seven Lamb, also behind the podcast Tower Four. Season one context is established quickly: Jess helped foil a Russian domestic terror plot and hoped to return to normal life. In season two, a rogue faction of North Korean operatives has begun kidnapping US congressmen, forcing the intelligence task force to call on Jess again. A mysterious voice tells Jess she is an agent, and a second voice reveals that something was implanted in her arm during a past procedure called 'the recall' without her knowledge, raising questions about her nature and capabilities. Voices warning of American vulnerability and blood-and-gun imagery convey physical danger. The trailer promises Jess must transform into something she could not have imagined to stop World War III. Voyage Media is identified as producer, with other hit fiction podcasts mentioned: Someone is Killing the Wolfhounds, Sanctuary, and Elucidity.
