Technology, books and doubt, in Spanish.
The gist
A Spanish-language solo podcast that treats technology as a subject worth arguing with, not just reviewing. Episodes move between AI assistant comparisons, Meta Quest 3 impressions, Telegram automation and the ethics of machine-made content, closing each time on a call to question what you think you know.

About Vidas en red Spreaker
Vidas en red is a Spanish-language technology and ideas podcast carried by a single host across hundreds of episodes and roughly twenty years. The tone is talkative, personal and unguarded. Nothing is scripted tightly. The host argues with himself in real time, backtracks, and lands somewhere more interesting than where he started. Tools get judged by whether they work in daily life rather than by spec sheets. A comparison of Gemini and ChatGPT turns on something small and revealing: which assistant actually remembers the events it promised to save. The verdict is blunt disappointment with one of them. From there the conversation drifts to Telegram bots, described as a marvel, and to the N8N platform for stitching automations together. The Meta Quest 3S gets an unusually warm and specific defence. The resolution is not a monitor, the host concedes, but the operating system is mature, the camera is good, and almost nobody understands what the device offers at that price. Then the show pivots to something harder. An episode on AI slop asks whether a rush of machine-written, machine-voiced podcasts amounts to digital garbage, and whether the fact that much listening happens while driving or half-distracted makes flat content acceptable. The host has skin in this question. He built a fiction podcast that nobody hears and admits the gold-rush impulse behind it. Another episode hands the microphone entirely to a synthetic voice, delivering an AI news bulletin on Google's chip ambitions and the open question of whether large language models could ever wake up. The most memorable experiment involves no gadget at all. After finishing a novel he did not want to leave, the host uploaded the manuscript to an AI and asked it to run an interactive role-playing game with himself as the protagonist and the machine as narrator and supporting cast. He describes still being in shock. Literature comes alive on one side, and Black Mirror waits on the other. Alongside the technology sit books, listener gifts and letters, reflections on faith and how a public memorial was framed, and the insistence that religious identity and political position are not the same package. It is a show comfortable being several things at once. Literature, technology, science fiction and critical thinking is how it describes itself in its closing lines, followed by the reminder that reality is what the media leaves out and that your opinions may not be yours. Listeners are invited to send audio messages. The sign-off is health and respect.
Made for: Spanish-speaking listeners who follow AI tools, VR and automation closely but want opinion and argument rather than spec recitals. It suits readers of science fiction who enjoy a host who wanders into philosophy, media criticism and personal reflection mid-episode.
What sets it apart: Most AI shows either sell the technology or fear it; this one uses it, criticises its output as slop, and then turns a novel into a playable AI-narrated adventure in the same breath. The two-decade run and the solo, unpolished delivery give it a continuity and intimacy that newer AI podcasts cannot fake.
