About Sustainability Solved
Sustainability Solved is a business-minded sustainability podcast built around long, practical conversations. It takes climate targets seriously, but it is more interested in what happens after the target is announced. That gives the show its useful texture. Will Richardson and Charlie Luxton move between carbon reporting, supply chain pressure, biodiversity rules, company-wide net zero work, and the messy reality of getting people inside organizations to care. The tone is warm and informal. The questions can be winding, but they usually land on scale, barriers, costs, incentives, or implementation. That matters. In one episode, supply chain software becomes a way to see carbon and cost in the same decision rather than treating sustainability as a separate report. In another, Scope 3 emissions are made concrete through Pallet Loop’s problem of getting pallets back from building sites, merchants, contractors, and scattered end locations. Openreach’s net zero work turns into a discussion about persuading employees, from ESG arguments to clean air and asthma. Housing episodes bring the same practical curiosity to retrofit, demolition, off-site manufacturing, permitting, inspection, and waste. The climate truth conversations are more grave, asking why businesses, media, and politicians struggle to respond with the seriousness of a climate and nature emergency. Still, the show rarely stays abstract for long. It tends to ask what an organization can measure, finance, redesign, communicate, or recover. Guests are given room to explain, and the hosts often press for the operational consequence behind the polished sustainability phrase. The result is especially useful for people who already work near sustainability, supply chain, construction, infrastructure, or corporate strategy and want examples with some dirt under the fingernails. It is pragmatic without being complacent. It is urgent without turning every episode into a sermon. At its best, Sustainability Solved makes the transition feel less like a slogan and more like a series of hard, doable choices.
Made for: For sustainability professionals, business leaders, supply chain teams, built-environment specialists, and consultants who want practical examples rather than broad climate messaging. It also suits listeners tracking how regulation, finance, and internal culture shape corporate sustainability work.
What sets it apart: The show keeps pulling sustainability language back to operational reality: pallets, permitting, engineers, capital, software, and supply chain mandates. Its strength is the patient follow-up question that asks how the idea actually works once it leaves the strategy deck.
