About Storytelling Saga

Storytelling Saga is a personal, animation-forward podcast about the stories that keep echoing after the credits roll. Allie anchors the show with an open, excited, often reflective style. Episodes shift between solo commentary, original short fiction, convention reports, anniversary tributes, and interviews with creative guests. The center of gravity is fandom, but the show is rarely just about liking something. A rewatch of Snow White becomes a meditation on musicality, inner beauty, childhood fear, and the strange afterlife of parody. An episode on Up lingers on grief, hope, Carl’s stubbornness, Ellie’s memory, Russell, Kevin, and Doug. Avatar: The Last Airbender receives especially affectionate treatment, from its 20th anniversary to its concert tour and the audience reactions around Suki, Jet, Zuko, Aang, Katara, and Sokka. The show notices craft. It pays attention to facial expressions, orchestral cues, story structure, world building, and the small choices that make animated characters feel alive. It also values the human side of making things. In the Kelly Hobby episode, the conversation reaches studio work, convention art, YouTube-era audiences, canceled shows, fan inspiration, and the urge to pick up the stylus again. Convention episodes bring a different texture. LA Comic Con becomes a report on crowds, panels, animation writing, production logistics, and the awkward joy of meeting someone admired. Storytelling Saga can also turn quiet and memorial. The episode dedicated to David Stephen Cohen frames an original short story, Warm Whisper, through loss, friendship, and appreciation for Courage the Cowardly Dog. The show’s recurring rhythm is emotional recognition: a scene hits harder now, a joke still works, a character arc suddenly matters more, a childhood favorite reveals new structure. Its looseness is part of its identity. Thoughts arrive as remembered scenes, quick jokes, bursts of praise, and sincere thanks to artists, performers, writers, and fans. For listeners who like pop-culture discussion with diary-like immediacy, it offers an affectionate record of how animation and storytelling live inside everyday memory.

Made for: For animation fans, nostalgic TV rewatchers, convention-goers, and listeners who enjoy personal pop-culture essays with a sincere emotional core. It especially suits people who connect craft talk with memory and fandom.

What sets it apart: Storytelling Saga stands apart through its mix of original fiction, fan reflection, animation craft, and lived convention experience. It feels less like formal criticism than a running creative journal shaped by the stories Allie keeps returning to.

In their own words

The podcast that shares stories — original works, personal tales, favorites from TV shows, books, movies and more.
