Roots Vibration MX

Roots Vibration MX is a reggae document of the people behind the sound. The shape is simple. A guest sits down, the conversation opens with where things began, and the answer is allowed to wander through studios, beaches, flyers, first shows, old crews, and friends who made the next connection possible. That looseness is the point. The show cares less about clean biography than about how scenes really form, with someone lending gear, someone knowing a local family, someone making a flyer, someone taking a chance on a Wednesday night. Victoria Malawi's episode turns into a conversation about identity: the decision to keep a raspy voice and avoid becoming an imitation of other reggae bands. Deep Lion Power brings the listener close to the practical side of sound system culture, from local connections to a Channel 1 session. César Oso from UNIDUB remembers Ecological Reggae as a beach-built gathering supported by locals before the infrastructure around it changed. Indra Omega traces Omega Zone System, women-led selections, Cultural Roots, and the name shift toward Female Power. Diego Benlliure of Los Yerberos places reggae inside massive Ciudad de México music moments, including Vibra Botán and the intense crowd energy of that era. Dubus brings in the Tijuana-to-Ciudad de México path, with Carlos and Jennifer talking about rebuilding contacts, finding work, and entering a sound system moment that was starting to open up. Some episodes slide into livestream shout-outs and track mentions, with greetings stretching across places. Others stay close to the table, letting memory do the organizing. Roots Vibration MX works best for listeners who want reggae as lived culture, not just genre labeling: roots, dancehall, sound system practice, festival lore, neighborhood crews, and the small decisions that make a band or selector sound like themselves.
