Resumo das Manhãs

Resumo das Manhãs is a busy Portuguese morning room compressed into podcast form. It starts early and rarely sits still. The core is practical: the top-of-hour news, bad-weather warnings, traffic conditions, sports results, political headlines, rail disruption, school closures, and the state of the roads after a hard night of wind or rain. That service side matters, especially in episodes shaped by depressions Ingrid and Joseph, flooded areas, fallen trees, orange and red alerts, snow forecasts, and dangerous driving conditions. The show sounds useful because it is useful. But it also refuses to behave like a bulletin. Someone arrives late after a school run. Someone forgets a phone in the car. Coffee becomes part of the action. A listener message can redirect the room. A snack promotion can become a collective memory about Bolicão chromes and the return of the Tô. A small complaint about rain turns into a shared national mood. The programme has a sharp eye for tiny domestic anxieties: sleeping with a wardrobe door open, the standby light on a television, the awkward question of a first kiss, or whether a football stadium is a romantic first-date venue. It is not sleek, and that is the point. The pleasure comes from the handoffs, interruptions, corrections, and half-serious debates that keep bumping into actual information. Football, music cues, weather reports, and caller-style WhatsApp notes all live in the same flow. On heavier mornings, the tone tightens around safety and road danger. On lighter stretches, it becomes a group riff about pastries, prizes, songs, or who is coming into the studio next. Resumo das Manhãs works best for listeners who want a companionable start to the day: alert enough to warn about hazards, loose enough to laugh at a used napkin as a prize, and local enough to make the morning feel shared.
