Movie talk with the rails removed.
The gist
REASONABLE BEEF treats movies, superhero franchises, Disney properties, games, awards chatter, and reality-TV detours as fuel for fast comic argument. The talk can be sharp and analytical, but it usually arrives there sideways through banter, mock certainty, and absurd overthinking.

About REASONABLE BEEF
REASONABLE BEEF is a pop-culture comedy show built around movies, but it rarely walks a straight line to the point. That is the appeal. The conversation can spend serious time on Doctor Strange’s costume, a Spider-Man actor’s second chance as Peter Parker, reused footage, or whether The Suicide Squad actually creates the feeling that anyone might die. Then a stray phrase knocks the whole thing into another room. Disney theme-park details become a riff about fake ride logic. Monsters University merchandise turns into a miniature theory of corporate usefulness. A Spider-Man suit discussion becomes comic archaeology of comic-book armor. A public bonus episode can move from Hades and Venom to superhero-movie needle drops and the business habits of video-game companies. The show understands nerd culture from the inside, but it does not treat that knowledge with solemn reverence. It is happy to care too much and mock the caring at the same time. That double motion gives the movie talk its charge. The episodes often begin in banter, detour through bits, and only then arrive at the stated topic, if the topic survives intact. Tim and Dom recur as the central conversational pair, with Nick and others occasionally widening the room through guest spots, production notes, or side commentary. The tone is blunt, restless, and self-aware. It can be messy, but the mess is usually active rather than lazy. The funniest moments often come when a half-serious critical point is smuggled inside an overbuilt joke. Marvel, Disney, superhero casting, franchise tone, awards shows, Bachelor chatter, games, and podcasting itself all become recurring targets. REASONABLE BEEF is best for listeners who enjoy comedy criticism where the argument, the derailment, and the fake authority are all part of the same machine.
Made for: For listeners who like film and franchise criticism delivered through fast banter, absurd tangents, and self-aware comedy. It especially suits people who know Marvel, Disney, games, and internet-era pop culture well enough to enjoy watching those references get lovingly attacked.
What sets it apart: The show is less a tidy review program than a comedy-analysis pressure cooker, where close reads of blockbuster logic sit beside fake business schemes, interruptions, and derailed outros. Its looseness feels intentional because the riffs keep revealing what the speakers actually think about the culture they are joking through.
