PLANETA DUNA

PLANETA DUNA is a Spanish-language radio and podcast space for comics, illustration, fanzines, music, and the working lives behind visual culture. It has the feel of a table already in motion when the listener arrives. The openings are playful and elastic, with seasonal riffs, mock prayers to comics, quick jokes about the team, and warm acknowledgments of regular collaborators. Then the program shifts into conversation. Guests are invited to explain how they work, where their images come from, and what shaped their idea of comics as art, trade, habit, and pleasure. The tone is friendly, but the questions are not empty. One episode can parse the difference between a fanzine, an autoedited object, and a stapled recipe booklet. Another can follow Miguel BRIEVA into money, creative freedom, publishing, and the uneasy relationship between making a living and making the work one wants to make. With JOAN MUNDET ALTIMIRA, the conversation turns toward covers, children’s books, painting, landscapes, commissions, and the difference between drawing from life and inventing an image. With Lluis Recasens, daily deadlines, comic timing, censorship at home, editorial meetings, and ordinary people as comic subjects all become part of the story. With Víctor LEZA, the show gets granular about digital illustration, Cintiq work, Photoshop brushes, photomontage, sketches, reference poses, and recognizable style. PLANETA DUNA is not polished into silence. It overlaps, corrects itself, laughs, wanders, and doubles back when the subject deserves another angle. Music is part of the grammar too, with dedicated records closing episodes and linking the week’s conversation to Janis Joplin, Sex Pistols, Gary Glitter, Paul McCartney, or Los Amers. Platform updates and listener geography appear alongside comic talk, giving the show a handmade community pulse. Its best moments come when admiration turns practical. The result is a warm, busy, deeply conversational map of Spanish comic culture and its adjacent arts.
