About Outside The Round w/ Matt Burrill

Outside The Round is built around country music's working ecosystem. Matt Burrill sits with artists, songwriters, event people, and friends from the Nashville orbit for conversations that sound more like long-running relationships than formal interviews. The show often starts with what is happening now: an EP release, a new single, a tour, a festival, a national anthem spot, a commercial, a record cycle, or life at home. Then it slides into how that moment came together. Guests talk about first trips to Nashville, early bar gigs, writing rooms, live shows, tour management, festival crowds, and the awkward stretch between trying something new and watching it catch. The conversations are casual. They are also dense with scene geography. Red Door, Losers, Live Oak, Auburn Rodeo, Rock The Country, Sky Bar, Ohio campgrounds, Texas rock rooms, Florida coast roots, Kentucky family life, and Old Hickory-area release weeks all show up as lived-in places rather than generic backdrop.
