Bitcoin rabbit holes with hard edges.
The gist
Lunaticoin treats Bitcoin as a doorway into engineering, jurisdictional experiments, civil liberty, and money itself. Episodes move quickly from concrete cases like Bitaxe miners or Próspera residency into larger arguments about sovereignty, custody, taxation, and parallel institutions.

About Lunaticoin
Lunaticoin is a Spanish-first Bitcoin podcast with the momentum of a guided expedition through one rabbit hole after another. It is technical, but not sealed off. A mining episode can start with the basic shape of a hash, move into SHA-256, 256-bit outputs, tentative blocks, and the scale of global hash operations, then narrow down to the handmade drama of getting a single-chip miner running. The Bitaxe material gives the show one of its clearest signatures. It cares about the chip, the board, the firmware, CGMiner, GecoScience, NerdMiner, BitcoinTalk, early Twitter posts, and the slow evolution from crude prototypes to hardware people recognize. That same curiosity applies outside mining. Próspera episodes turn jurisdiction into something physical: a landing in Roatán, English place names, a car key in an airport drawer, Duna Tower, online residency, digital companies, banking, taxation, invoices, and annual declarations. The show keeps asking how rules actually work. It is interested in the friction between legacy states and people trying to build around them. That gives the political history episodes their force. Václav Benda, Václav Havel, Charter 77, the Prague Spring, and Polis Paralela appear not as museum pieces, but as tools for thinking about modern surveillance, speech, cash limits, encrypted communication, and voluntary institutions. Lunaticoin can be blunt about state power. It is also practical. Custody, inheritance planning, node setups, nomad security, monetary history, Libertad coins, and Bitcoin self-sovereignty recur as working problems, not abstract branding. The show's pace is brisk and sometimes crowded, with sponsor reads and personal asides folded into the same current as the main argument. Its center, though, is consistent. Bitcoin is treated as a practical technology, a monetary escape hatch, and a cultural meeting point for engineers, dissidents, entrepreneurs, and people suspicious of delegated trust.
Made for: For Spanish-speaking Bitcoiners who want more than market chatter: mining hardware, self-custody, privacy, free-city experiments, and the political history behind parallel institutions.
What sets it apart: Lunaticoin connects workshop-level technical detail with boots-on-the-ground jurisdiction reporting and dissident political theory. It makes Bitcoin feel like hardware, law, history, and personal responsibility all at once.
