Licenza Media - Accademia di Musica e Parole

Licenza Media is a music-radio program with the patience of a long Monday evening. It comes from MRC Radio in Castel San Pietro Terme, where the studio itself is part of the atmosphere. Sergio Lacroce gives the broadcast its familiar center, moving from greetings and frequencies into songs, memories, jokes, and cultural footnotes. The format is loose, but not careless. Each episode finds a concrete starting point and lets it grow. One night, the number two becomes a route through couples, rivalries, daily expressions, Tiro Mancino, and a private image attached to a song. Another night, a car rally turns into talk about Fiat 500 culture, old attendance numbers, regional pride, and the way gatherings changed after Covid. The music is the anchor. Around it, the show builds a small social world. Listeners hear about AM frequencies, DAB in Abruzzo, streaming apps, WhatsApp messages, Facebook podcasts, and the mechanics of keeping a local station connected. That radio housekeeping is not dead space; it is part of the show’s texture. Licenza Media also has a strong memory for cinema. In the Lacroce & Friends slot, Alessandro Boriani brings film talk into the room, from childhood parish screenings to Italian horror and genre titles. The conversation can be playful. It can also turn serious when songs carry heartbreak, nostalgia, or the heavier charge of old scenes and private associations. The show likes references that pile up: Jacques Brel, Marlene Dietrich, Gino Paoli, Nina Simone, Frank Sinatra, Dalida, Celine Dion, Madonna, Carlo Verdone, and comic wordplay all sit near one another without needing a clean lecture format. That makes it different from a tidy music-history program. It sounds more like an informed local conversation that happens to have records ready. The best fit is a listener who enjoys context, digression, Italian radio warmth, and the feeling that a song can still arrive through a story. Its appeal lies in the way it keeps company.
