Let There Be House

Let There Be House is a house music discovery show shaped like a DJ set, not a talk program. It starts with a reverent nod to house music’s origin myth, then moves directly into records. The format is lean. Recent episodes promise about an hour of fresh music, with brand-new cuts, promos, first plays, label releases, remixes, edits, and tracks selected for club and radio use. DJ Rae’s episodes carry a warm, buoyant tone. The language is full of journeys, good places, quality music, Miami energy, London chill, parties, and the idea that the right record can change the weather in a room. Glen Horsborough’s appearances are more release-desk and DJ-bag focused, with attention to forthcoming tracks, pre-orders, exclusives, Bandcamp edits, Beatport, Tracksource, playlists, and where new records might fit into sets. The show does not linger over interviews. It keeps the music moving. Track names and artist mentions arrive as part of the set, giving listeners a working sense of what is new, what is getting support, and what might be useful for their own listening or DJ crates. The sound range is wide but rooted. Vocal records sit beside funky grooves, disco reboots, peak-time club tracks, old-school riffs, and smooth late-set energy. The tone is enthusiastic without becoming chaotic. It assumes the audience already cares about house music culture, but it remains accessible to anyone who likes upbeat dance records and clear signposting. The show’s recurring strength is its mixture of freshness and continuity. New releases matter, yet the episodes keep returning to house as a tradition, a feeling, and a shared dance-floor language. For PlayNext discovery, it is especially useful as a fast filter for current house records. A short clip can reveal the set’s warmth, the presenter’s energy, and whether the week’s selections lean funky, vocal, or club-heavy.
