About Le rendez-vous Tech
Le rendez-vous Tech is a French-language technology show with the rhythm of live conversation and the structure of a weekly argument. It does not treat the news as a ticker. It asks what the news changes. One episode can move from deepfake political disinformation to Gemini agents on smartphones, Nvidia’s position in the AI rush, and the World Happiness Report without losing the through line of technological impact. Another can take a mobile offer in France, a US negligence ruling involving Meta and YouTube, Apple’s long history, Artemis, and Reddit’s human-verification experiments, then turn those stories into a discussion about responsibility and design. The show’s strength is this repeated widening of the frame. A product feature becomes a question about dependency. A lawsuit becomes a question about market definition. An AI tool becomes a question about whether usefulness arrives as one killer app or as dozens of small conveniences that slowly become hard to give up. The tone is brisk, skeptical, and conversational. It leaves room for teasing and live-session warmth, but it keeps returning to evidence, incentives, and consequences. Algorithmic feeds, infinite scroll, addictive interfaces, privacy tradeoffs, platform monopolies, and the reach of GAFAM are recurring pressure points. So are AI tools, from Notebook LM and OpenAI reasoning models to agents that promise productivity while raising security concerns. The show is comfortable with ambiguity. It can acknowledge that data collection improves personalization while still worrying that poorer users may be pushed into giving up more privacy. It can recognize that Nvidia is powering an industry while asking whether expectations have run ahead of usable value. It can examine Uber, Airbnb, and delivery platforms as forces that altered cities, labor, restaurants, and habits. The result is tech coverage for people who want to follow announcements but care more about the systems underneath them. It is accessible, but not simplified into slogans. It is opinionated, but not careless. Above all, it makes the week in tech feel connected to ordinary choices, public policy, and the shape of digital life.
Made for: For French-speaking listeners who follow technology, internet culture, AI, and platform politics, and who want analysis that stays understandable without sanding off complexity.
What sets it apart: The show stands out by turning weekly tech headlines into connected arguments about incentives, design, regulation, and social impact, while keeping the informality of a live conversation.
