HÖRNS ÜP

HÖRNS ÜP is a Spanish rock and metal discovery machine with several gears. The weekly editions follow the release cycle closely, moving through new singles, coming albums, band members, tour hints, and metal-news fragments with a pace that rarely sits still. It is loud, informed, and a little unruly. Juanma Fernández episodes lean into hard rock and metal premieres, melodic death metal, Swedish sounds, harmonica cameos, streaming-app mentions, and the connective tissue between the main show and its side lanes. Rock, Blues and Beers brings a different smell into the room. Moy A.M. lowers the needle on blues rock, country, rockabilly, psychedelia, stoner rock, and the weathered 60s and 70s textures that sit beside heavier music rather than beneath it. Those episodes can move from Midnight Cowgirls and Kathleen Grisco and the Broadcast to The Black Crowes or Avery Ann, with jokes about beer, mechanics, boots, and holiday records along the way. Deep Scout is the program’s excavation arm. David García looks for bands that have not already appeared elsewhere on HÖRNS ÜP, then frames them through genre, history, tone, and personal taste. That lane makes room for hard rock, post-grunge, gothic rock, rap-metal history, progressive death metal, mythology-inspired albums, and melodic death metal claims that deserve a raised eyebrow. ESP keeps the spotlight closer to the Spanish-speaking scene. Rick "Bass" Baker moves through rock, hard rock, thrash, modern metal, death metal, local rooms, contests, and bands from the peninsula and Latin America. The show’s pleasure is not only in hearing what is new. It is in hearing someone argue for why it belongs next to everything else. HÖRNS ÜP suits listeners who want metal news, scene scouting, and genre education delivered with speed, jokes, and enough sharp opinion to keep the playlist from feeling automatic.
