Hablando Claro Podcast

Hablando Claro is a comedy podcast in Spanish, hosted by Antonio Sanchez and Carlos Figueroa, with Fernando appearing often enough to count as a third voice. The room is real and slightly unfinished. The hosts note the room has only recently been painted and the couch is on its way out. That kind of detail sets the tone better than any mission statement would. There is no interview structure to speak of. A guest arrives, the greeting runs long, and then the talk goes wherever the associations take it. The guest list draws from the local comedy, music and business scenes. José Galíndez describes going for the biggest room he could having never sold tickets to anything, and explains what a mastermind is — eight hours dissecting one subject, whether personal finance or crypto. Esteban Ruiz, doing stand-up since sixteen, turns out to be a graphic artist who made the cover art for the single Mariposa, part of a deliberate choice to have comedians build everything around that song. Kristal Fonrodona traces a path from classical singing to jazz at the conservatory, and the hosts, who have known her roughly ten years, spend as much time on her timbre as her résumé. Subjects arrive sideways. A Menudo documentary sparks a confession that one host did not know the group predated Ricky Martin, and the same episode ends up on pro-life versus pro-choice without ever announcing the pivot. A slippery mosh pit spirals into a sustained bit about hiring someone with a squeegee to dry the floor. Kanye's genius gets defended by people who have already conceded everything else about him. Profanity works as punctuation here, not provocation, and the laughter is constant enough that the sincere moments cut through by contrast. The hosts also compare themselves openly to other local figures and podcasts, which gives the show a running self-awareness about where it sits in the scene. Episodes end the way they run: plugs for the Patreon, Instagram handles spelled out badly, a ticket date, and a goodbye that repeats until someone finally stops the recording. Listeners who need a tight edit and a clear thesis will be frustrated. Listeners who want the feeling of sitting in on a long night with people who genuinely like each other will find hundreds of episodes of it.
