Race talk with legs and memory.
The gist
Forhjulslir treats cycling as a living argument, not a highlight reel. Recent episodes move from Vingegaard’s stage-race sharpness to Pogacar’s Milano-Sanremo pressure, Flemish cobbles, Dauphine chess, and the small tactical details that decide big races.

About Forhjulslir
Forhjulslir is a Danish cycling show built for listeners who do not need the sport translated before the real conversation starts. It moves fast. Recent episodes use the spring calendar as a working table: Milano-Sanremo, Paris-Nice, Catalonia, Dauphine, E3, Gent-Wevelgem, Flemish cobbles, Cipressa, Poggio, Kemmelberg, and Via Roma all become material for tactical argument. The show is especially alive when reading power through behavior. A rider standing up for only a few seconds, a team isolating Pogacar without attacking him, or a favorite spending too much energy on the front can become the center of a long, winding diagnosis. Jonas Vingegaard’s form is treated with real scrutiny. Tadej Pogacar is discussed as both force and problem. Van der Poel, Tobias Lund, Michael Valgren, Pidcock, Milan, Jorgensen, Sepp Kusche, Sivakoff, Almeida, and others appear as parts of a larger racing puzzle. The conversations are loose rather than polished. That works. A roadside memory can slide into watts-per-kilo speculation, a joke can become a race theory, and a finish-line replay can stretch into something close to cycling folklore. The show is not trying to make every listener comfortable. It assumes knowledge, keeps the shorthand, and trusts the audience to follow. It also has a human streak. The Gruppetto episode, for example, moves from La Primavera into separation, missing a partner, and the emotional oddness of life around racing. Sponsor language appears frequently and sometimes blends into the same rhythm as the analysis. The appeal is the density. Forhjulslir gives cycling fans the feeling of sitting near a long table after the broadcast, with the decisive climb still being argued over and the next race already pulling everyone forward.
Made for: Forhjulslir suits committed road cycling fans who already follow the race calendar, Danish riders, spring races, and stage-race form debates. It is for listeners who enjoy tactical replays more than basic explainers.
What sets it apart: The show stands out through its loose, obsessive race reading: it can spend serious time on a missed attack, a team’s attitude after a climb, or the emotional afterlife of a monument. Its mix of banter, insider shorthand, and detailed tactical memory gives it a lived-in texture.
