ERF Plus (Podcast)

ERF Plus is a German Christian podcast shaped by careful interviews, devotional reflection, and a willingness to stay with difficult human stories. It moves slowly by design. Rather than chasing quick answers, the show lets guests speak at length about faith as it is lived in grief, conflict, memory, vocation, and family life. Recent conversations show that range clearly. Steffi Baltes brings lived knowledge of Jerusalem into a discussion of the Passion story, connecting archaeological visits, historical background, and the people who encountered Jesus in his final hours. The tone is reverent, but also practical, asking what a short walk with a heavy beam might have meant for a tortured man. In coverage of Christian persecution, Michaela Koller describes the Hamburg lighting chain for persecuted Christians and the individual fates kept visible through that public act. The episode’s attention stays close to people under pressure, including Christians in Iran and other places where faith carries real risk. Stanley Hans speaks about Easter from the perspective of an Iranian Christian community leader in Hanover, holding resurrection hope beside news of unrest and memories of social exclusion. His story turns doctrine into something embodied. Lara Link’s conversation is quieter and more painful, centered on the death of her son Mio before his ninth birthday and on the question of where God was in that loss. The show allows humor and tenderness to remain present without making grief smaller. A conversation with Eva Maria Admiral takes a different route, using performance, the inner critic, and cultural habits around strain to ask how people might live less trapped by perfectionism. Across these episodes, ERF Plus sounds like classic Christian radio at its most patient: serious, pastoral, historically curious, and grounded in testimony. It is not flashy. Its value is the space it gives to stories that need time, silence, and trust.
