Deeper Down The Rabbit Hole

Deeper Down The Rabbit Hole is an occult and esoteric show with the feel of a live back-room broadcast from Queen City Curio in Toronto. It is not tidy studio mysticism. The recent format often places the microphone after a ritual, while impressions are still fresh and participants can ask questions from the room or online. That gives the show its odd energy. A conversation about Leviathan becomes a meditation on oceanic fear, dissolving structures, biblical adversaries, Tiamat, and the experience of going down into emotional waters and returning changed. An episode on Flereous or Haures becomes a discussion of fire, energy systems, anxiety responses, centering, water, and the need for experience rather than armchair theory. Lucifer is treated through mental chains, pride, self-honesty, rebellion against control, and the hard work of illumination. The tone can be rough and funny. It can also be serious about technique. Other conversations widen the practice field, moving through spellcasting with Mat Auryn, evil eye traditions with Kaliva Keres, Luban Jing and esoteric feng shui with Jason Read, charm bags with Elhoim Leafar, and African traditional religions and voodoo with Lilith Dorsey. The show repeatedly argues that magical tools are not vending machines. Charms have to be charged. Words have to land in the body. Offerings imply relationship, not just transaction. Spells require mundane action as well as intention. Because the recordings preserve the liveness, the pacing can wander through announcements, workshop references, food jokes, technical hiccups, and sudden dense turns into myth or ritual mechanics. That looseness is also the point. The show captures practitioners thinking aloud, disagreeing, correcting themselves, and testing ideas in public. For the right audience, that immediacy is more useful than a polished explainer.
