Conspiracy! The Show

This is a weekly conspiracy show built by comedians who treat the source material as homework. Adam Todd Brown hosts. Connor McSpadden is the regular co-host, introduced each week with a different joke about being in the cut, in the trap, or resigning from the podcast on principle. The format flexes. Some weeks it is one case examined end to end. Other weeks it is a Conspiracy News Roundup, moving from ballot seizures in Riverside County to moon-landing arguments to whatever else surfaced that week. Occasionally a guest takes over the hour. One recent episode brought in Joseph Cibelli, author of a book about the Chicago Tylenol murders, to revisit the 1982 poisonings that killed seven people and the enormous corporate recall that followed. Another walked through the Clinton-Epstein depositions after watching around nine hours of footage. A third worked through what the postal service does with its surveillance capability, including the gap between monitoring threats to postal infrastructure and monitoring protesters. Epstein material recurs often enough to have its own running framing as the figure connected to everyone. The humour is crude and fast, the digressions constant, and the hosts openly wonder whether the podcast itself will one day be evidence against them. That running bit about being detained is a joke and also, plainly, not entirely one. What makes the show work is the arithmetic. When a number comes up, the hosts stop and interrogate it out loud, dividing informants into population, comparing agency headcounts, testing whether a claim survives contact with a calculator. Sometimes the conclusion is that the whole operation was simply stupid, and they say so. There is no reverence here for any side. Election-fraud claims from every direction get the same treatment. Space programmes get admired and mocked in the same breath. Episodes close with plugs for comedy specials and albums, then a goodbye to the listeners that lands as genuine affection. Advertising reads sit at the top of some episodes before the show proper begins. Listeners should expect frequent strong language and adult framing throughout, along with subject matter that includes murder, the Epstein investigations, and government surveillance. What listeners should not expect is credulity. The hosts are more interested in what the documents actually say than in the theory that got them there, and they are willing to end an hour concluding that nothing much held together. It is conspiracy content for people who like the research and distrust the true-believer voice.
