#16 Dr. Jeroen van den Bergh – Cap-and-Trade vs Carbon Taxes: When Objectives and Frictions Matter (Behavioral + Political Economy)Jan 13, 2026

Carbon pricing is tested against bounded rationality, fairness concerns, and the limits of revenue use.

The episode frames climate policy as a debate over pricing tools, then sharpens the issue by asking what happens when cap-and-trade or carbon taxes meet boundedly rational polluters and public concerns about inequality, revenue, and climate projects.
