About BeHeard Talk
BeHeard Talk is a weekly political and cultural conversation built around Black millennial perspective, live audience energy, and sharp editorial judgment. Its center is politics, but its range is wider than campaign coverage or policy talk. Episodes move through race, culture, policing, voting, reparations, labor, environmental justice, mental health, sports, and celebrity media. The show is comfortable treating all of those as connected parts of public life. A discussion of Derek Chauvin’s sentencing can sit beside Britney Spears, Tamir Rice, Sean King, and Sha’Carri Richardson. A Juneteenth episode can move from Kamala Harris and migration to Keystone pipeline politics, Indigenous activism, Black celebration, and reparations. The pacing is brisk. The tone is blunt. The show does not hide its commitments, especially around Black liberation, accountability, and the need to challenge institutions that harm marginalized communities. Selena Hill appears as the clearest guiding voice, with recurring contributors and guests bringing in additional angles. The format often uses comments from Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn, and live streams to keep the conversation participatory. There is also a strong segment rhythm, including stories that make the speakers say, in effect, that public life has become absurd. That structure lets the show swing from grief to jokes without making either feel misplaced. Police violence, public safety, and abolitionist questions recur across episodes. So do conversations about colorism, anti-Blackness in Latinx communities, Black fatherhood, queer identity, body politics, and community trauma. Guests add focus when the episode turns toward a specific movement or issue, including ADOS, Juneteenth, public safety, and intersectional marginalization. Pop culture is not filler here; it becomes another site where gender, race, representation, and power get contested. The show suits listeners who like political commentary that sounds alive, informal, and opinionated. It is not detached analysis. It is news processed through community, argument, humor, and a clear demand to be heard.
Made for: BeHeard Talk is for listeners who want politics, race, and culture discussed with urgency, humor, and a strong Black community focus. It especially suits people following social justice movements, media debates, and the political stakes behind everyday headlines.
What sets it apart: The show blends news roundup, live audience response, cultural side-eye, and issue-focused guest conversations without separating politics from pop culture. Its perspective is openly Black, millennial, and activist-minded rather than neutral or institutional.
In their own words
BeHeard Talk is an award-winning weekly talk show that is committed to informing, educating and empowering Millennials on political and social issues. It
