B&R MAGAZINE RADIO

B&R MAGAZINE RADIO is a bilingual underground rock and metal program with the pulse of scene radio. It is built around interviews, song breaks, and loud admiration for bands that are still fighting for attention. The recurring voice is El Buen Zenón, who moves between Spanish and English depending on the guest and the moment. The format is not tidy. That is part of the appeal. Episodes open with station-style greetings, reminders, and shoutouts before settling into long conversations about where a project comes from, who plays in it, and what makes its sound worth hearing. The show gives space to bands such as Lords of Salem, Excavator, Lecumberri, Tabahi, Los Niñoz Perdidoz, Reeper, and Cryosphere. It is especially interested in heavy music’s surrounding culture: videos, stage image, horror references, concepts, festival slots, old influences, and the feeling of seeing a small band grow into a real live show. Mexican acts get steady attention, but the show also looks outward, including English-language interviews with projects from places like Pakistan. Songs are treated as evidence. After a conversation about production, identity, or scene history, the program drops into a track so the audience can hear the argument for itself. The talk can be repetitive and sprawling, with sudden bumpers and abrupt transitions. It still has a strong center. B&R MAGAZINE RADIO wants underground bands to be found, followed, and taken seriously. It celebrates punk melody, thrash discipline, horror-metal imagery, alternative turns, and the stubborn DIY work behind independent music. It is not a detached critic’s table. It is a broadcast booth full of enthusiasm, memory, and scene loyalty. The show works best for listeners who want discovery with rough edges intact. Its charm is the sense that every interview might turn into a personal recommendation, a concert plug, a genre debate, or a reminder that today’s unknown band could become tomorrow’s classic.
