AntiHype Podcast

AntiHype Podcast is a Spanish-language videogame panel with the rhythm of people who have already been talking for an hour before the episode officially starts. It is loose, loud, and stubbornly self-aware. A cold open may linger on seating, cameras, missing participants, someone’s look, or the fact that there may not really be a prepared program at all. Then the conversation snaps into games. Overwatch 2 fatigue, Loop Hero, Gran Turismo Sport, Mario Golf Super Rush, Metroid Prime, Nintendo Switch OLED, and detective games all surface across the excerpts, but the show rarely treats a title as an isolated review object. A game becomes a reason to argue about DLC, sequels, labor credits, Switch performance, adaptation choices, or how much lore a Mario movie really needs. The panel is happiest when a tangent becomes a position. It can move from joking about a live technical collapse to a pointed complaint about how workers get credited in development. That whiplash is part of the appeal. The show does not clean up every interruption, and it does not pretend the chat, the broadcast software, or everyone’s personal life is outside the program. They are in the room. The audience gets a version of games criticism that feels immediate and social rather than polished flat. It is not gentle background listening. It is argumentative, affectionate, occasionally crude, and full of fast corrections and pile-ons. For listeners who want tidy segments, it may feel like too much. For listeners who want a games show with real chemistry and no fear of looking ridiculous, AntiHype has a specific kind of electricity.
