9021 Here We G0! : A Beverly Hills 90210 Podcast

9021 Here We G0! is a Beverly Hills 90210 rewatch with a useful built-in contrast: one person is encountering the episodes for the first time, while the other brings the memory of someone who has seen them all. That dynamic keeps the show from becoming either pure nostalgia or pure disbelief. It has both. Episodes usually begin with a casual check-in, then settle into a structured path through the original broadcast date, surrounding pop culture, cast context, and the episode itself. The Beverly Beat gives the recap a timeline, placing late-90s episodes beside birthdays, movie chatter, public events, and stray bits of television history. Then the show gets into the plot. Closely. A scene at the police station can turn into a discussion of Kelly's self-defense story, David throwing a reporter's microphone, Gina being cornered by the press, and Janet's changing place in the core cast. A pregnancy reveal gets tracked for relationship stakes, family fallout, and how far along the story says Janet is. Dylan's relapse is treated as a serious thread, but the conversation still has room for confusion over whether a window escape means avoiding rehab or seeking drugs. The hosts notice character behavior at a granular level, especially when someone feels colder, sillier, or more useful than usual. They also enjoy the odd business of long-running television: surprise parties built around old publicity photos, chancellors reading cue-card directions aloud, supporting men who blur together, and plots that seem to recycle familiar emotional beats. Bonus episodes widen the lane into adjacent 90s media, including Iron Man, X-Men connections, and library-side conversations from related shows. The tone stays loose, friendly, and lightly self-correcting. It can be funny about strange details without flattening the characters into punchlines. It can also pause for content warnings when an episode includes sexual abuse. For a listener who wants every Beverly Hills 90210 plot turn remembered, questioned, and placed inside a broader 90s-TV web, this show offers a steady companion through the whole messy franchise.
