June 23, 2023·48 min

Kip and Jason interview Sean Mellis, an AI consultant with 15 years experience and creator of the ChatGPT 101 Udemy course. They explore ChatGPT fundamentals—explaining how it works beyond simple keyword matching, using transformer networks and attention mechanisms to generate contextual responses from vast training data. Key discussion points include ChatGPT's capabilities and limitations (hallucinations), its use as a career tool for resume writing and job searching, and critical guidance on treating AI outputs as starting points requiring human verification rather than finished products.
