"Skeleton Crew Review, Part 2"

·1 hr 26 min·5 clips
Heather crammed all of Skeleton Crew just hours before recording—what did she think of Jude Law's complex pirate?
In episode 393 of WSTR Galactic Public Access, hosts Todd Hoffman and Heather Allred dive into a review of Skeleton Crew episodes five through eight, as Heather had just finished binge-watching the series. They start by discussing Heather's last-minute viewing and her overall positive impression, highlighting Jude Law's character Jod as a complex pirate and the child actors as well-cast and non-annoying. The hosts break down each episode: episode five focuses on a spy plot and Fern's quick thinking, episode six features trash crabs and a ship transformation, episode seven sees Jod turning darker and a planet hidden within a planet, and episode eight wraps up with a showdown and the reveal of a droid supervisor. Heather appreciates the mystery, cohesive storytelling, and fresh feel of the series, noting it avoids traditional Skywalker lore. They compare Skeleton Crew to other Star Wars shows, placing it high in their rankings. The second half of the episode shifts to Star Wars news, covering the Andor season two trailer release with its unique three-episode weekly drop schedule, the 20th-anniversary theatrical re-release of Revenge of the Sith, and rumors about Kathleen Kennedy stepping down from Lucasfilm. The episode concludes with a cantina chat segment where Heather shares personal updates about decluttering and planning for C2E2.
