Werewolf the Podcast: All Plans go to Hell. (Episode 252)

·38 min·1 clip
She was a werecat wearing a Victorian housemaid outfit interpreted by someone at a death metal festival.
The episode opens with the host talking off script. He thanks the people supporting the show, mentions the books, and offers a small apology for how improvised the introduction feels. The mood stays casual only until the manor takes over. The Professor launches into a sermon about his drawing room, Edwardian taste, and the old superiority of real rooms over modern "spaces." That reads less like a design note and more like a declaration of war on contemporary misery. Lucifer arrives with the kind of smile that means trouble has already been seated. She settles onto the sofa, picks out goat’s cheese, and enjoys the room with appalling confidence. Then she says she is sending Will to hell. Dave remains upside down on the rug. Vaunt watches the door with her usual impossible speed and opens the heavy oak portal when the outside world finally refuses to stay outside. Will turns up half-buttoned, hair in chaos, and very clearly on the wrong side of a heroic amount of beer. He looks like a man who won an argument with alcohol by losing it in public. The wing commander arrives beside him, upright and formal, carrying the exhausted dignity of someone who has just escorted a werewolf out of a Wetherspoons. Lucifer keeps the pressure on with delicate cruelty. Monty gets pulled into the mess whether he likes it or not. The whole room keeps trying to sound civil while the situation grows steadily less civil by the second. The jokes come fast, but so does the dread. Cheese, port, and luncheon talk sit beside threats that are anything but small. Every polite exchange carries another hint that everyone in the room is already doomed. By the end, the planning meeting has become a compact disaster of temptation, obligation, and very bad timing. The episode stays brisk, rude, and oddly affectionate all the way through the damage.

As heard by us

A polite house call turns into supernatural disaster, with every civil exchange carrying a threat.

The episode sets up a neatly absurd house call: Lucifer arrives, says Will is being sent to hell, and turns a drawing-room chat into a supernatural standoff.
