·2 min
The episode is a weather forecast from Met Éireann for Ireland on Wednesday, March 18, 2026. Host Andrew Jordan-Sherlock opens with a greeting and date. He notes that while there will be some rain or drizzle today, high pressure will dominate from tomorrow to Saturday, bringing mostly dry conditions with good spells of sunshine. However, light winds will allow fog to develop at night and linger near some coasts during the day. On Sunday, rain and drizzle will start to move in from the west. For this morning, there will be sunny spells in the northwest early on, but otherwise it will be mostly cloudy with patchy rain, drizzle, mist, and fog patches. The rain and drizzle will gradually clear northwestwards as sunny spells develop in the south and east during the afternoon, with the last of it clearing by evening. Highs will range from 10 to 15 degrees with light, occasionally moderate easterly or variable breezes. Tonight will be dry with a mix of cloud and clear spells, though mist and fog patches will develop later, with lows of 3 to 8 degrees in light northeasterly breezes. Tomorrow morning, most mist and fog will clear for a dry and sunny day, but coastal fog may persist on eastern and southeastern coasts, with highs of 12 to 17 degrees. Friday will be dry, but fog may linger near eastern and northeastern coasts, keeping conditions duller there, while elsewhere sees plenty of sunshine and highs of 12 to 16 degrees. Saturday will be dry for most with hazy sunshine, but fog could linger near some coasts, and it will be duller in the northwest with a few spots of light rain or drizzle, highs 11 to 14 degrees. Sunday brings a change, turning cloudy in the morning with light rain or drizzle at times, and more persistent rain developing in parts of Connacht and Ulster during the afternoon and evening. The forecast will be updated in the afternoon, and the host signs off.
