Ep 24: Which Wolf? (Theatrical Winterlude)

Rex came from privilege and doesn't understand basic hygiene—or the concept of dirty clothes
The table opens loose and chatty. They start by poking at the name of the show and whether it can survive another round of D&D-podcast comparison. A brighter, rowdier version of the title wins the joke for a minute. From there, the crew pivots into character intros with survival scores, then quickly veers into a sharper prompt: what each character believes even though it is clearly false. That shift says a lot about the room. They would rather expose a personality quirk than polish a stat block. The banter stays quick and interruption-friendly, with people building on one another instead of waiting for clean turns. Once the scene starts tightening, the rope and wolf sequence becomes the center of gravity. A rope that was still on a sweater unwinds from Valdric and goes sailing past Katya before winding up through the wolf itself. The magic does not just fight the beast. It reaches the human within it, the wolf skin dissipates, and the wild shape drops away. Lucy's history with wolves lands there, which gives the moment actual texture instead of a simple monster win. Katya gets to rejoin the conversation in a zapped state. Rex carries the episode's other big complication. Black smoke pools at his feet and starts speaking to him, urging him toward murder. He hesitates, checks the people around him, and resists. The rubric at his waist reacts, growing hot and crossing out its own revenge language in bright red. By the end, the table is still joking about who noticed what, but the jokes now sit on top of a scene that has already gone somewhere darker.
