Ep 19: Vault Assault (Legends of the Labyrinth)

You don't have to do this. Come on, man.
The group returns after a long recording gap. They joke about New Year's resolutions before the story fully opens. Someone suggests giving the characters resolutions instead of running survival. Silas gets a resolution that is mostly about being even more evil. He also wants to shower less because he has been spending too much on water. Another joke lands about being funny on an improv comedy podcast. The episode cuts to the vault setup. Hours earlier, Silas and Torrin are already inside Vault 879. They stand on a small rocky platform above a larger chamber. Torches flare and reveal a floor covered in gemstones. Silas ties a rope to a rocky outcropping. Torrin watches and fingers Rumtum's stolen dagger. Lucy's earlier advice to be a rogue flashes through Torrin's mind. Silas's magic starts rotting Torrin's bindings away. The pair decide they will have to climb. Back in the present, the others open the vault door and start trying to push through. Nikki keeps urging everyone forward while the table talks over itself. Someone spots the rope and wonders whether this is even the right vault. The stealth rolls go badly for some and great for others, with another nat one streak getting plenty of attention. The ending detours into a debate over whether Spencer's high fives are too strong, which fits the show's noisy, affectionate rhythm.

As heard by us

A holiday-return vault heist with jokes, stealth, and just enough chaos to keep the room moving.

Episode 19 comes back after a long break and folds the delay into the joke, using New Year resolutions and a self-aware reset to set the tone.
