303- A Product-Led Growth Strategy is Product Management

July 18, 2022·31 min·1 clip
Tiava uses Prince Charles and Ozzy Osbourne to show why one-dimensional customer targeting destroys revenue potential.
Product-led growth starts with knowing the product. Tiama's point is plain: a product leader cannot design a self serve path with much credibility without knowing how the product works and what customers feel when it lands. That is the baseline. The harder part is treating PLG as a company strategy, not a feature tucked inside one product team. Sales still matters. The useful lesson is simple enough to carry away: PLG works when teams keep tuning both the product and the assumptions behind the motion. Inclusivity is doing real work here. Tiama puts it at the center of the success stories, along with dimensionality. Product-led growth becomes product management when it makes the whole company understand the customer's path and design around it.
