Pastor Ken opens the Date Day Edition. With Pastor Ron and Paula away, he explains that he and his wife, May, are sitting in while the regular show continues. May keeps the conversation gentle. The hour still has room for Bible questions and everyday application, but this excerpt moves toward testimony, marriage, parenting, and God's goodness. Ken remembers sleeping in his car. He does not clean up the story. He talks about the awkward walk from around the corner and the look that told him nobody was fooled. The shame is still easy to hear. What matters to him now is not the hiding place, but how the Lord used that ugly stretch to soften another heart. May calls them mercy stories. She hears grace in them, and Ken lets the memory open into 26 years of looking back at what God has done. Their children become the proof close to home. His closing counsel stays plain. Serve Jesus with your goals, hopes, desires, dreams, and everything else. Ken frames love and calling as something God places in the path while a person is already serving Jesus.
